Aire Libre is the result of a rewarding search, the fruits of an open and free conception of music, capable of overcoming limits, stereotypes and barriers. We have been inspired by a world that arouses cultural differences making them a reference point through which one can be enriched and integrated. Aire Libre is a journey in which we share our experiences and sensitivity and where various elements from jazz, South American, afro, classical and contemporary music emerge. These realities coexist and interact in a natural and spontaneous way which does not follows a routine but which is always challenged, as in every kind of worthy life.

Each of the ten tracks of this CD invites us to live a different state of mind not only because of the variety of rhythm but also because of the several colours of sounds suggested by the different instruments. Depending on the piece, it may be a soprano or tenor saxophone or a clarinet that establishes a dialogue with the classic guitar, alternating “obligatory” thematic moments with some improvised ones, leaving a gap to the recreational aspect of expressive freedom.
A special guest (a metronome in Lila piece) is invited to the game, as wishing to impose its obstinate severity, though not always achieving this.
The several compositions presented in this work do not correspond to pure musical genres. We take Jorge Luis Borges’ words and make them our own when he says “Happily, we don’t belong to only one tradition. We can aspire to all of them”
